We normally recognize the following paid holidays:
New Year’s Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
Other Important Details
• An employee must work the regularly scheduled workdays and hours before and after a holiday to be eligible for holiday pay unless the absence is paid and excused.
• Employees on any type of unpaid leave immediately prior to or following a holiday will not be paid for the holiday.
• Paid holiday time is not considered time worked for the purpose of computing overtime.
• Holiday pay is compensated as an eight-hour day for all employees.
• All employees including part-time and temporary employees are eligible for holiday pay provided they qualify as stated above and are actively working the week of the holiday.
